2024 Photo Competition

Members are invited to submit Geographical Icons of Queensland photos to the RGSQ 2024 photographic competition.The competition is only open to RGSQ members for unpublished photos taken in 2021-2024. Download a flyer.

PRIZES

• 1st - One night accommodation at Binna Burra Sky Lodge
• 2nd - Framed Wildlife Illustration by local wildlife artist
• 3rd - Australia Zoo day pass for one person

Image and submission requirements:

• A maximum of 5 images per member
• Images must be previously unpublished
• Images must be taken in 2021-2024
• High resolution. Camera or mobile phone capture is usually fine
• Landscape or portrait orientation can be submitted
• Avoid images with identifiable people
• Include a caption no more than 20 words for each image, your name, location of the image and the year it was taken

Submissions will be judged online by RGSQ members, which will take place from 7 October to 15 November. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at the RGSQ Xmas Party, Tuesday 7 December 2024.

By submitting your photos to the RGSQ 2024 Geographic Icons of Queensland Photography Competition, you agree to share the photos with RGSQ for future use. All photos will be copyrighted under a Creative commons Attribution 4.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/, which means that each photo is owned by the creator (you as the photographer) and it can be shared and adapted freely when appropriate credit is given.
