Wheat field and property track.

The location is between Hebel and Dirranbandi along the Castlereagh Highway. Wheat is growing in a flat, vast field extending almost to the horizon. The area is a complex floodplain system, full of rivers - the Narran, Bokhara and Ballandool - that flow to the southwest eventually joining the Darling River in the NSW. The increasing demands of irrigation and reduced drought flows provide challenges for river users.

Hebel:

The main road includes: Helbel's Hotel, a general store, fuel station, community hall and park. Hebel won 19999 Tidy Town Bush Spirit Award. Athe settlement is on the Castlereagh Highway, between Dirranbandi (Qld) and Lightning Ridge (NSW). It is several kilometers north of the Qld-NSW Border. There are two border crossings near Hebel.
