Pungalina Scientific Study 2012

Working hard to ensure all the Researchers were fed, comfortable and able to make their own surveys, were the volunteers main priorities.

Beautiful meals were cooked by our Chef, Rolf Roduner and served up by a very organised kitchen staff of Mary Comer, Heather McGrath, and Mary Nowill.

The three out camps were managed professionally by Stephen and Laylee, Kay and Graham Rees (Karns Creek), Mary and John Nowill (Cycad Creek) and Wayne and Pat Spearitt (Big Stinking Lagoon).

Managing the very busy main camp (Pungalina Station) was the Pungalina Administrator, Brian McGrath.

Running round the Pungalina Property and keeping his hands in may pies, was the Conveynor, Tony Hillier.

On site maintenance knowledge was integral for a smooth running camp and this was overseen by Digby and Gavin Warren, and Kev Teys. Bruce Urquhart was very adept in getting all things mechanical to work!!

Transport and runabouts on the property was well organised and included David Flood, Paul Feeney and Bruce Urquhart.

Hayley would like to say a BIG thank you to all our volunteers, it could not have worked without you and she is extremely grateful, not only for the assistance and hard work but the attention to every detail. This made this Scientific Study a success.

Below are images from Mary and John Nowill on the journey up to Pungalina and exploring the property.
