The Society organises a diverse range of activities, including lectures, education and research projects, visits and treks, in the support of promoting and advancing geography in the community.
You can see what's on in our calendar. Our Draft Program for the year will give you an idea of dates, but please bare in mind that these are subject to change and bookings for events will be taken once events are advertised on the website.
Lectures are held at 7.30 PM on the first Tuesday of each month (except January). Most RGSQ lectures are public and entry is free for members. While lectures are held in Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast at present, we are aiming at including other locations and making lecture materials or videos available on line.
Day, weekend and longer treks, with a distinct geographic flavour, are held regularly within Queensland and around Australia. Check our calendar for what's on.
