The Royal GeographicalSociety of Queensland Ltd
The Spring Hill Community Group invites you to a community meeting and neighbourhood BBQ to discuss the future possibilities for enhanced walkability and green infrastructure of key corridors in Spring Hill.
In collaboration with the Royal Geographical Society of Queensland, the Spring Hill Community Group has spent the past several months researching and gathering information on elements of walkability across several routes through the suburb of Spring Hill. These include Albert St, Boundary St, Fortescue St, Gregory Tce, Leichhardt St, Rogers St, Water St, Wharf St and Wickham Tce. We'd like to share preliminary findings from this project with the Spring Hill community and discuss current and future opportunities for improvements.
We want to hear about your lived experiences walking around the suburb and discuss ideas and aspirations for targeted accessibility, walkability and liveability improvements. During the meet-up volunteers will be taking groups out for short walks on nearby routes to demonstrate our project method and seek feedback on your perceptions of walkability along these paths. Since this is a great opportunity to meet fellow locals, we'll be rounding out the morning with a free community BBQ and catch-up in the garden courtyard.
Everyone is welcome. We hope to see you there!
